SAO PAULO (AP) - Brasil está atrasado más de un año en los proyectos de construcción para la Copa Mundial del 2014, dijo un alto empresario.
El presidente de SINAENCO, una asociación brasileña de arquitectura e ingeniería, dice que el gobierno debe intensificar sus esfuerzos a riesgo de perder inversiones y la oportunidad de organizar futuros certámenes.

"Brasil está atrasado más de un año", dijo José Roberto Bernasconi el martes en la reunión anual de SINAENCO. "Las autoridades tienen que intervenir".
Bernasconi dijo que la Copa Mundial "promoverá Brasil y atraerá más inversión en el futuro". Pero agregó que todo eso corre el riesgo de perderse si no se cumplen los plazos de construcción.
Brasil organizó los Juegos Panamericanos de Río de Janeiro el año pasado sin mayores inconvenientes. Y se postula a organizar los Juegos Olímpicos del 2016 en Río.
