PONCE (AP) - El confinado Waldemar Adorno reaparecerá en el boxeo profesional el 23 de mayo al enfrentarse al toabajeño Ándres Navarro en un combate a cuatro asaltos en el peso ligero.
El promotor Iván Rivera dijo el lunes que ésta es una de las nueve peleas incluidas en la cartelera que presentará en el coliseo Antonio R. Barceló de Toa Baja.

Adorno, quien está preso pero recibe permiso del Departamento de Corrección para participar en carteleras de boxeo profesional, tiene marca de tres victorias y tres reveses.
Su rival ha ganado un pleito y ha perdido dos.
Adorno combatió por última vez el 23 de febrero, cuando perdió por decisión ante Juan Meléndez.
En esa cartelera, se medirán a cuatro asaltos en las 122 libras, Pedro Hernández, de Aguadilla, y Jesse Padilla, de Toa Baja. En las 130 libras pelearán a la misma distancia José González y el debutante Carlos Ramos.
La cartelera será coestelarizada por los ex campeones mundiales Manuel Alejandro "Manny" Siaca y Eric Morel, pero Rivera dijo que aún no se ha definido quiénes serán sus rivales.
El dominicano residente de Puerto Rico, Marcos "El Tigre" Jiménez, rivalizará en las 126 libras ante un contrario que se escogerá en los próximos días, según el comunicado de prensa del promotor Rivera.
