Milka vs. Danica: ¡Casi se dan!

LEXINGTON, Ohio, EE.UU. (AP) - La venezolana Milka Duno aún está a la espera de su primer triunfo en la IRL, y Danica Patrick se ha metido en una mala racha desde que conquistó la carrera en Japón. Pero ambas son ahora más populares, al menos en la internet.

Los sitios más populares de video en la red, como YouTube, y varias páginas de "blogs" mostraron o analizaron el domingo el altercado que las dos pilotos tuvieron el sábado, durante las prácticas matutinas previas la clasificación y a las 200 Millas de Lexington.

Patrick quedó undécima en esas prácticas sobre el circuito Mid-Ohio Sports Car.

Tras descender de su bólido, la estadounidense irrumpió en la zona de los fosos de abastecimiento, donde estaba Duno, la otra mujer que participó en las competencias del fin de semana. Patrick increpó a Duno, supuestamente por obstruirle el paso varias veces durante las prácticas.

La discusión a los gritos duró apenas un minuto. En un momento, según se aprecia en el video difundido por la internet, la venezolana agitó una toalla y la arrojó en dos ocasiones a Patrick, quien se convirtió el 20 de abril en la primera mujer que gana una carrera de la IndyCar, en Japón, pero ha tenido problemas para conseguir buenos lugares desde entonces.

"Yo sólo quería saber si ella me vio en la pista", dijo Patrick a la prensa, después del incidente, que se suma a los que la piloto ha tenido con Dan Wheldon y Ryan Briscoe.
