Guillén: 'Somos la perra de Chicago'

MIAMI, 5 mayo 2008 (AOL Latino).- Ya tenía mucho callado. Ya hacía rato que no decía nada. Había pasado el primer mes de temporada y aún ni se sabía nada de él. Pero Oswaldo 'Ozzie' Guillén ya abrió la boca y esta vez para defender a su equipo usando al otro con el que comparte la ciudad.
Así es, luego de amanecer el lunes con cinco derrotas seguidas en la gira como visitante, el manager de Medias Blancas de Chicago soltó una de las suyas. Ya es obvio que estas cosas las hace Guillén para desviar la atención de los medios, pero lo recurrente ya se está poniendo más bien fastidioso.
"Ahora mismo todo el mundo en Chicago hace alineaciones. 'Sube (de ligas menores) a este tipo, sube a este otro", dijo Guillén. "Si nos permitieran tener 50 personas en el roster se podría hacer eso. Eso es lo que molesta de los fanáticos de Chicago y de los medios de Chicago: Se les olvida todo bien rápido. Hace un par de días éramos los (ponga-ud-la-vulgaridad) de la ciudad, ahora somos una (ponga-ud-la-vulgaridad)".

Guillén dijo que la única manera de que la percepción negativa sobre los Medias Blancas mejore es ganando (¡oh!), pero aún después de haberlo ganado todo en 2005 la negatividad persiste.
"Ganamos hace par de años pero ahora somos (ponga-ud-la-vulgaridad) de caballo", dijo Guillén. "Los Cubs no han ganado en 120 años y son la (ponga-ud-la-vulgaridad) más grande.
