(EFE Latino) - No fue una noche fácil para Juan 'Torito' Díaz en Cancún. El veterano púgil Nate Campbell tuvo la pelea de su carrera y fue quien hizo historia al vencer al tejano por decisión dividida, para así quitarle a Díaz sus correas.

Campbell conquistó el título de campeón de la Federación Internacional de Boxeo (FIB), de la Asociación Mundial de Boxeo (AMB) y de la Organización Mundial de Boxeo (OMB) que el mexicano puso en juego esta noche.

Las puntuaciones para Campbell fueron de 113-114, 116-111 y 112-115 después de doce asaltos de pelea en el cuadrilátero que se instaló en la plaza de toros de Cancún.

Además de dejar los títulos, Díaz, mexicano radicado en Houston (Texas), perdió el invicto al encajar su primera derrota en 34 combates.

Campbell, radicado en Florida (Estados Unidos), llegó a 32 peleas ganadas por cinco derrotas y un empate.

Un cabezazo de Campbell provocó una brecha por encima de la ceja izquierda de Díaz, pero el boxeador radicado en Texas mantuvo sus andanadas de golpes y sus combinaciones hasta que en el cuarto asalto logró cortarle esa ceja.

El mexicano le pegó a Campbell en la zona baja del cuerpo y por arriba aprovechó el golpe izquierdo para hacer combinaciones que le dieron la ventaja.

La pelea se le complicó al mexicano cuando en el sexto asalto, Campbell se le acercó con la cabeza y cuando le tapó la vista le soltó un golpe de izquierda que le provocó un corte de casi dos centímetros en el párpado izquierdo.

Díaz se quejó de un cabezazo y el árbitro mexicano Jesús Salcedo le quitó un punto a Campbell, cuya esquina protestó sin éxito, y al reanudar el mexicano incrementó sus ataques y conectó varios pero sin lograr hacerle daño al rival.

Campbell le puso color al subir al cuadrilátero con un capote y una montera de torero, para emular a un torero que sale al ruedo.

Díaz fue recibido con las notas del "Jefe de jefes" del grupo Los Tigres del Norte, que hace alusiones a un gran capo. EFE.

TUVE LA OPORTUNIDAD DE VER LA PELEA, Y DE VERDAD QUE LOS JUECES DE ESA NOCHE NO HALLAN PODIDO CAPTAR TANTAS MARRULLERIAS DE CAMPBELL Y QUE LASTIMA POR TODOS LOS QUE SOMOS AFICIONADOS AL BOXEO POR QUE CON SITUACIONES COMO ESTAS LAS GRANDES PELEAS SERAN MUY DIFICIL QUE SE REALIZEN EN MEXICO,PUES LOS CAMPEONES NO QUERRAN QUE ALGO TAN INJUSTO LES SUCEDA,DE TODAS MANERAS LA GENTE QUE SI SABEMOS DE BOXEO ESTAMOS DE ACUERDDO QUE EL GANADOR FUE BABY BULL DIAZ, GRACIAS CAMPEON POR DEMOSTRAR UNA VEZ MAS DE QUE MADERA ESTAS HECHO ,VIVA MEXICO!!!!
