"Cada uno tiene su manera de pensar, su manera de jugar. Vamos a ver que pasa esta temporada con el nuevo entrenador y con los jugadores que traiga"

Si te piden que recomiendes un jugador de México para venir a la MLS, ¿a quién recomendarías?

"Ahorita están en el torneo..."

No, pero de repente para venir a mitad de año... ¿con quién te gustaría jugar o a quién te gustaría tener enfrente?

"Ahorita no se me viene porque no hay nadie que va a querer venir a jugar acá. Pero hay mucho que podrían venir a jugar a Estados Unidos"

Se mencionó a Jared Borgetti muchas veces, ¿crees que podría jugar en esta liga?

"Creo que sí, es un jugador que remata muy bien. Si le dan facilidad en cualquier momento te puede convertir un gol"

¿Hasta cuando Cuauhtémoc, hasta cuando quieres seguir jugando al fútbol?

"Hasta donde las piernas aguanten. Creo que si te sientes bien físicamente puedes durar muchos años"

¿Qué edad tienes ahora?

"35"

Bueno... se puede seguir jugando y físicamente te sientes muy bien, ¿no?

"Lo mas importante es que me siento bien físicamente. No tengo lesiones que es lo más importante"

¿Una cuenta pendiente en tu carrera fue tal vez el haber llegado más alto en el fútbol europeo? ¿Te marcó o no?

"Me quedé con la espina clavada porque nunca me dieron la oportunidad en Valladolid, nunca me la dio el entrenador que tenía de mostrarme, también por la lesión que tuve en la rodilla, pero el entrenador tuvo mucho que ver y realmente me quede con esa espinita porque yo sé que si me hubiese dado la oportunidad hubiese triunfado en España"

Regresando a la selección de México, con toda esta juventud, ¿crees que en el próximo Mundial pueden ser la gran revelación?

"Ojala, ese es el objetivo. Estuvimos cerca... como decimos en México... es el Ya Merito... nos faltó un poquito... pero nos tenemos que mentalizar primero en calificar, porque si no calificas no vas al Mundial, luego llegar a la Semifinal que es el objetivo de todos nosotros"

¿Cuál fue el mejor compañero que tuviste en tu carrera, con el que mejor te entendiste?

"Con Luís Hernández cuando estuvimos en la selección y con el Cabrito Arellano. Son los jugadores con los que me entendido muy bien"

Sobre todo en aquel Mundial de Francia...

"Sí, en ese Mundial nos entendimos muy bien. Estuvimos a punto de ganarle a Alemania pero el hubiera ya no existe, ya pasó"

¿Tal vez fue tu punto máximo en la selección aquel Mundial?

"No, porque creo que también en Corea hice grandes cosas, hice cosas importantes. Gracias a Dios he representado muy bien a los equipos que he ido"

¿Te sientes un jugador querido por la afición de México?

"Sí, es como todo, no. Ahorita me siento querido porque estoy en Estados Unidos, pero cuando estaba en México es obvio que había gente que me odiaba porque odia al América. Así es, así es el fútbol. La afición tiene también derecho a irle a otro equipo no al América y yo siempre he dicho que soy como el América, o me odias o me quieres, pero de todas maneras creo que la gente me quiere mucho"

al jugador mexicano le falta mucho para estr al nivel de argentina o brasil,vean la cantidad de jugadores que hay en europa,comparados con los jugadores que hay de los otros paises.
