Repite dosis Chicago Fire de Cuauhtémoc

Chicago, Il., 3 May (Notimex).- Chicago Fire le repitió la dosis de hace un mes a New England Revolution y lo doblegó como visitante 3-0, en partido celerado en el estadio Gillette, en actividad de la Liga Mayor de Futbol de Estados Unidos, (MLS, por su sigla en inglés).

El delantero Chris Rolfe abrió el marcador a los 29 minutos de acción, mientras el mediocampista John Thorrington aumentó la ventaja al 50, lo que significó su tercera anotación en la campaña, y el volante Stephen King cerró la cuenta, al 76.

Esta es la segunda vez que los "Hombres de Rojo" se imponen a los "Revs" en el presente torneo, pues el pasado 3 de abril le pusieron un "baile" en la cancha del Toyota Park, duelo que marcó su presentación en casa en esta temporada y que terminó con marcador de 4-0 en favor de los locales.

El triunfo permite que los de la "Ciudad de los Vientos" lleguen a 13 unidades, con lo que se mantienen en el segundo escalón de la Conferencia Este, donde Columbus Crew es líder con 15 cosechados tras derrotar este sábado a Kansas City Wizards.

El atacante mexicano disputó todo el encuentro pero no pudo hacerse presente en el marcador, tal y como sucedió en el encuentro pasado, donde marcó por la vía del penal, su segundo del actual campeonato.
