Steward dice que Cintrón está listo

3 febrero 2008 (AOL Latino).- Para el boricua Kermit Cintrón, campeón welter de la Federación Internacional de Boxeo (FIB), la pelea de su vida es ahora. Si pierde podría quedar hundido en la nebulosa en una época en la cual ascender en esa división de las 147 libras es una empresa mega difícil. Es cruel pero un peleador como Cintrón en cualquier otra división sería estrella. Pero no en los welter.

La única derrota de Cintrón se produjo el 23 de abril de 2005 precisamente frente al mismo oponente que enfrentará el 12 de abril de este año, Antonio Margarito. Será una mega cartelera que también incluye al puertorriqueño Miguel Cotto frente al mexicano Alfonso Gómez.

Los promotores sueñan con parear luego a Cotto contra Margarito pensando en que ambos ganen estos compromisos. Sin embargo, el entrenador de Cintrón, Emanuel Steward, no cree que será tan fácil para Margarito superar a su protegido.

"Me parece que Margarito será una buena pelea, pero Kermit ha mejorado mucho. Se puede argumentar que no estaba bien preparado la primera vez que se enfrentaron", dijo Steward en entrevista con el diario puertorriqueño 'Primera Hora'. "Margarito es un oponente duro, que ha mejorado y es fuerte mentalmente".

Acerca de su última pelea, la cual terminó por nocaut técnico en el quinto round y sacó de paso el ascenso que experimentaba Cintrón, Steward consideró lo siguiente en sus declaraciones a 'Primera Hora': "La pasada pelea entre ambos fue en un ambiente mayormente mexicano, pero en Atlantic City sabemos que habrá un público puertorriqueño, ya que también estará Miguel Cotto esa noche. Kermit estará 100 por ciento preparado".

Margarito ya esta apagado y lo unico q sabe hacer bien es meterse a las conferencias de prensa a llorar como las nenas..Si cintron no lo acaba como se dice les garantiso q cotto lo manda para el hospital y no va a ver pega suficiente en el mundo para pegarles los huesos..luego lo veran llorando otra vez

bueno solo les voy a decir esto que el que es buen gallo en cualquier gallinero canta. y cintron se va ha ir a dormir temprano cuando pele con antonio margarito otra vez,aunque su oportunidad ya paso y no creoo que se meresca una revancha pero esta bien si es por dinero. asi que pagenle bien a margarito por que despues de cintron sigue el faulero o sea cotto le dijo faulero por que es muy bueno para pegar en los huerfanitos cuando siente que el mundo se le viene encima.
