Suspenden a Antonio Margarito del boxeo

MIAMI, 28 enero 2009 (AOL Latino) - La Comisión Atlética de California (CSAC, por sus siglas en inglés) ha suspendido temporalmente las licencias de boxeo de Antonio Margarito y su entrenador Javier Capetillo.

Esto a raíz del incidente en el que alegadamente se le encontró una sustancia o material extraño en los guantes del Tornado de Tijuana, antes de su pelea contra Shane Mosley el pasado sábado.

En la declaración del CSAC, su presidente Tim Noonan anuncia que las suspensiones son una medida de rigor en lo que hace la investigación. Además indicó que "la sustancia encontrada en las vendas de Margarito es actualmente analizada por el Departamento de Justicia de California".

Margarito y Capetillo fueron citados a una audiencia inicial pautada para el 10 de febrero ante la CSAC.
