¿Temo va al rescate del América?

México, 9 May (Notimex).- Pese a que aceptó que es difícil reforzar al América en los cuartos de final de la Copa Libertadores, el delantero mexicano Cuauhtémoc Blanco señaló hoy que le gustaría hacerlo, pero que es algo que ya no depende de él.

"Es difícil, no está en mis manos porque ahorita estoy enfocado en el Chicago Fire, no sé si hayan negociado ellos y América. Estoy agradecido con los directivos de América y con el señor Cañedo por la oportunidad que me dieron de irme", comentó.

Aceptó que la pésima temporada que tuvo el conjunto de Coapa en el Torneo Clausura 2008 del futbol mexicano lo llegó a desesperar a él también, pero rescató que el equipo haya logrado seguir con vida en la justa continental.

"Creo que ellos más que nadie saben los errores que han estado cometiendo en los partidos, que no hicieron un buen torneo, pero lo más importante es que siguen en la Libertadores. Pero sí es desesperante, si yo hubiera estado estaría desesperado", apuntó.

Aseguró que una buen recompensa hacia la afición azulcrema sería llegar a la final de dicha competencia internacional, ya que sería "importante para ellos y para la afición a la que le deben mucho".

Blanco también informó que abrirá una academia de futbol en la ciudad de Chicago y no quiso opinar si Juan Antonio Luna debe mantenerse al frente del conjunto azulcrema, ya que esa es una decisión que debe tomar la directiva.

"Como técnico no conozco a Luna, es una gran persona, pero no está en mis manos, ellos van a tomar una decisión y ojalá sea buena para que regrese al América a los primeros planos". expresó.

El tema de la selección nacional es algo que aún pasa por la mente del delantero del Chicago Fire, pero aclaró que no ha sido contactado por Jesús Ramírez, "pero sí me encantaría".

Finalmente consideró que el estratega ideal par hacerse cargo del Tricolor es aquel que pueda hacer grupo, y que dentro del balompié mexicano hay timoneles que cuentan con la capacidad para ocupar ese puesto.
