Toma fuerza un candidato inesperado

24 abril (AOL Latino) - Después del desdén de la mayoría de los candidatos internacionales que la Federación Mexicana buscó para dirigir a la selección nacional, el sueco Sven-Goran Eriksson, tomó una inuscitada fuerza y se perfila como el más cercano al banquillo verde.

Según informó la cadena internacional CNN en Español, el actual entrenador del Manchester City de la Liga Premier, cerraría un acuerdo por 9 millones de dólares con el Tri, y ya estaría al frente para la serie eliminatoria contra Belice el próximo 14 de julio.

La versión toma fuerza luego de que Eriksson esté virtualmente fuera de la escuadra inglesa, por una mala temporada y una estrepitosa goleada sufrida el fin de semana.

Además, Javier Aguirre uno de los candidatos más esperados por México, cumplió su objetivo de meter al Atlético de Madrid a la Champions League y renovó automáticamente su contrato.

Sven-Goran Eriksson dirigió en el Mundial 2006 a la selección de Inglaterra, y actualmente es entrenador del mexicano Nery Castillo en el Manchester United.
