LOS ANGELES (AP) - El ex boxeador Mike Tyson presuntamente golpeó el miércoles a un fotógrafo en el Aeropuerto Internacional de Los Angeles y fue arrestado y dejado posteriormente en libertad bajo sospecha de agresión en menor grado, informó la policía.

Tyson y el fotógrafo desconocido desean presentar cargos mutuos por la agresión, indicó la policía.

El fotógrafo dijo a la policía que el ex campeón mundial de los pesados lo golpeó una sola vez, informó el vocero de la policía del aeropuerto, el sargento Jim Holcomb. El fotógrafo cayó al suelo y fue atendido en un hospital tras sufrir un corte en la frente .

La vocera de Tyson, Tammy Brook, indicó que el ex boxeador viajaba con su esposa y un hijo de 10 meses de edad el miércoles por la tarde cuando fue atacado por un fotógrafo excesivamente agresivo.

El ex campeón mundial actuó en legítima defensa para proteger a su hijo, indicó la portavoz.

"Hay muchas versiones diferentes en torno a estas historia y todo va a salir a la luz más tarde", dijo Holcomb.

"Algunos testigos apoyan la versión de Tyson y otros respaldan la del fotógrafo", agregó.

Los fotógrafos de prensa a menudo se instalan en el aeropuerto más grande de Los Angeles para tomar imágenes de las celebridades que van en tránsito hacia otros destinos.

"Escuché que algunas personas lo siguieron hasta el baño de caballeros e intentaron fotografiarlo allí", señaló el abogado defensor de Tyson, David Chesnoff.

"Mi consejo para él es que presente decididamente cargos contra lo que todo el mundo ve como fotógrafos ridículamente agresivos", agregó.

Tyson cooperó mientras esperaba en una celda de detención en la estación de policía del aeropuerto, indicó Holcomb. El fotógrafo también será citado a declarar tan pronto como sea dado de alta del hospital, informó la policía.
