            18 junio 2009 (AOL Latino) - Dicen que la experiencia es la mejor maestra. ¿Pues quién mejor que Oscar De La Hoya para advertirle a Miguel Cotto sobre lo que le puede pasar contra Manny Pacquiao?

            De La Hoya dijo estar preocupado que Cotto sufra como él al intentar bajar a un peso menor de las 147 libras.

            "Yo, con toda mi experiencia, bajé a 144 [libras] para pelear con Pacquiao y me sentía débil... no tenía nada", dijo De la Hoya a El Nuevo Día.

            "Cotto no debe bajar", agregó. "Tiene muchas opciones: es joven y todavía le falta. Parece que no, pero bajar una, dos o tres libras es mucho".

            De La Hoya perdió tras ocho asaltos contra Pacquiao el pasado 6 de diciembre en lo que terminó siendo su combate de despedida. Tras el resultado se dijo que De La Hoya se esforzó demasiado para llegar por debajo de las 147 libras pactadas, peso en el cual no había peleado desde el 2001.

            Como es de esperarse, la alternativa presentada por De La Hoya involucra a una de las veteranas estrellas de su Golden Boy Promotions.

            "Ya Shane [Mosley] ha dicho que está dispuesto a que Pacquiao se lleve el 60 por ciento de la bolsa, y a bajar a las 144 libras", afirmó De La Hoya.

            El méxicoestadounidense admitió que no le agrada que Mosley, de 37 años, baje tanto de peso para un combate, pero confía en la decisión tomada por el púgil californiano.
