    Árbitro de la MLS bajo investigación por recibir regalo de Cuauhtémoc

    Miami, abril 2009 (AOL Latino) - El árbitro Jair Marrufo se encuentra bajo investigación por la Federación de Fútbol de Estados Unidos, luego de la acusación de recibir un jersey firmado por el delantero mexicano Cuauhtémoc Blanco, al término del partido entre el Chicago Fire y Columbus Crew.

    Al final del cotejo, que terminó empatado a dos goles, el jugador mexicano ingresó a los vestidores de los árbitros para regalarle a Marrufo su jersey firmando, situación que no fue bien vista por la MLS y del equipo Columbus,

    Las protestas son mayores luego de que el árbitro registró varias decisiones polémicas a favor del equipo de Cuauhtémoc, como una expulsión muy rigorista contra el defensa del Columbus Gino Padula.
