(Servicios Informativos AOL Latino).- Después de varios días de especulación este jueves en los diarios europeos el Manchester United anunció haber aceptado el traspaso del delantero portugués Cristiano Ronaldo al Real Madrid por 80 millones de libras (96 millones de euros, 130 millones de dólares), un récord absoluto en la historia del fútbol.

"El Manchester United recibió una oferta récord e incondicional de 80 millones de libras del Real Madrid por Cristiano Ronaldo. A petición de Cristiano, que ha reiterado su deseo de irse, y tras discusiones con los representantes del jugador, el United aceptó dar permiso al Real Madrid para que hable con el jugador", afirmó el club en un comunicado, aunado a una nota publicada por el diario Marca, de España.

El traspaso de Cristiano Ronaldo se convertirá así en el más caro de la historia, batiendo el récord establecido en 2001 por la venta del francés Zinedine Zidane de la Juventus de Turín al Real Madrid por 75 millones de euros.

Según medios de comunicación españoles, el Real Madrid ofreció a Ronaldo, de 24 años, un contrato de cinco años con un salario neto de 9 millones de euros anuales.

El club español ya había dado una primera campanada al anunciar a principios de esta misma semana el fichaje de la estrella brasileña del Milan, Kaká, por 65 millones de euros.

Su nuevo presidente, Florentino Pérez, artífice de la era galáctica en su anterior mandato al frente del Real Madrid, está dispuesto a gastar más de 200 millones de euros para contratar a los mejores jugadores y devolver todo su lustre al club, 2º en la Liga esta temporada detrás de su gran rival, el Barça.

Entre los objetivos restantes del Madrid figuran los franceses Franck Ribéry (Bayern Múunich) y Karim Benzema (Lyon) o los españoles David Villa (Valencia) y Xabi Alonso (Liverpool).

El año pasado, el Manchester se negó a dejar marchar a Cristiano Ronaldo al Real Madrid. El entrenador del club inglés, el escocés Alex Ferguson, explicó entonces que no vendería "ni un virus" al club madrileño, al que tildó de "mafia".

Pero el astro portugués expresó muchas veces su deseo de irse al Real Madrid, tras su brillante paso por el Manchester United, con el que ganó la Liga de Campeones en 2008, antes de perder la final contra el Barcelona este año.

MUY CARO QUE NO? Y NO MUY CONVINCENTE ANTE LOS GRANDES MOMENTOS COMO EN LA FINAL DE ROMA PERO BUENO Y ESO QUE ESTAMOS EN CRISIS, PERO ME INCLINO POR EL PULGA DEL MESSI SOLO ES MI PUNTO DE VISTA
